With increasing threats to the privacy and security of digital and online journalists this project aims to conduct deep and practical digital security training for journalists, human rights NGOs, bloggers, and activists operating in high risk environment in West Africa (WAFR).
The seminars will provide attendees with the necessary open source tools and required knowledge needed to successfully navigate the digital world more securely and protect their privacy and security in the age of sanctioned surveillance.
Participants will receive practical, real world experience setting up, configuring, and using a wide range of digital security tools such as: VPNs, TOR, SecureDrop, secure email tools, encrypted USB keys, and encrupetion tools, to protect their identities, data and sources.
Training will be provided free of charge for 25 attendees.
